Chapter Seven

When Percy woke up, he knew where he was. He also knew he had morning wood, and he was mortified.

He was on his back, and he stared at the ceiling, trying not to move and praying Bay was still asleep. He had to do something about this. He couldn’t allow Bay to wake up and realize the state he was in.

He eyed the bathroom door, trying to judge the distance between it and the bed. Was it six feet or more? Could he manage to sneak in without Bay noticing? He had to take a cold shower, and he had to do it now.

“You’re thinking so loudly I can hear it,” Bay drawled.

Percy’s heart raced. Bay was awake, so he had to know what Percy was feeling. Every time Percy moved, the blanket rubbed against his cock, and while he was doing his best to ignore it, he could feel it. That meant Bay could, too, which was why Percy was trying hard not to move.

Bay’s face was pressed against the pillow, but he raised it and sleepily looked at Percy. “You know I have one of those, too, right?” he asked.

Percy couldn’t look at him. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

Bay chuckled, shaking his head. “I don’t understand why you should be ashamed or even try to hide it. I get that it’s awkward, but really, you shouldn’t focus on that. I’m pretty sure we’re both in the same state, and it’s not your fault. It’s just morning.”

Percy’s face felt like it was on fire, and he wanted to die. He couldn’t listen to this anymore, so he shot out of bed, his legs tangling in the blankets. He almost fell on his face, but thankfully, he was trained, and he managed to scramble to his feet. He ran toward the bathroom, having every intention of slamming the door shut and hide for the rest of the day.

He never reached it. Before he could, pain seized his body, and he crumpled on the floor. He could hear Bay swear behind him and the soft sound of the blankets moving. The pain softened, then disappeared, and Percy felt Bay’s hands on his shoulders.

“You have to be more careful.” Bay gently touched Percy’s chin to raise his face so they could look at each other. “I know this is awkward, embarrassing, and awful. I know you want none of this. Both of us are stuck unless you want to go back to your cell, and I know you don’t. That means we have to learn to live together and to stay close to each other. I don’t want you to get hurt.”

Percy blinked. He pulled away, needing some space. He couldn’t have more than six feet, but he could have a few inches. The problem was that he couldn’t seem to forget how Bay’s hands felt on him now that Bay had touched him.

Bay got to his feet. “I promise I won’t tease you again. But really, there’s nothing to be ashamed of.
